Why Me?
Currently based in Central Otago, I started out and was raised on a South Otago farm alongside my twin sister and brother. Creativity was my currency long before I could afford Adobe.
I graduated from UCOL in 2008 with a Bachelor of Applied Visual Imaging (Creative Media), majoring in Web Design, and went on to spend over 16 years in the design industry, working across everything from recruitment and trades to florists and community organisations.
I've been through burnout, difficult clients, tight deadlines, and the full evolution of design software. Now, as a mum to a toddler, I juggle work, life, and my own creative projects at 4am Studio - a small, independent design studio working with good people around NZ and beyond.
I've been in the red, I've been in the green. I've eaten sleep for dinner. But I've also learned a lot, and I'm happy to share what I know.
I'm not a business coach and this isn't a business school. You won't catch me in a blazer giving keynote presentations. But I do get it. I'm not here to guarantee success or sell you six-figure dreams. But if you want straight-up advice, maybe a few curse words and a shoulder when you need it - I'm your person.
We could already be mates, or total strangers. Either way, if you're starting out or stuck somewhere in the middle, book a session. No BS. Just real talk.
How it works
- Sessions are available via Calendly (30min currently)
- Pricing is in AUD (because of the platform)
- Payment is required upfront
- Once booked, you'll receive confirmation and instructions on how to prep if needed
- This is your session to ask whatever you want - so jot down a few questions or areas you'd like to chat about beforehand so we can make the most of the time.
- During the session, you ask your questions, I will answer them as honestly as I am able and hopefully you leave with a boost of confidence and a new found passion for your projects

Can I record the session?
Nope - but you're welcome to take notes.
Can I book more than one session?
Sure, but this isn't a coaching programme. If you're coming back, we'll pick up where we left off.
Will you look at my portfolio or website?
Only if you want feedback - let me know in the booking form.
Will you give me pricing templates or your process doc?
Not included, but you'll get a breakdown of how I do things, and where to start building your own.
How much does it cost?
The current pricing is displayed in AUD via Calendly and includes the session only. It's a one-time payment, no subscriptions or follow-ups unless you book another.
What time-zone do you use?
My current time zone is New Zealand Standard Time (GMT+12)
Can I ask anything?
Yes - within reason. If it's about pricing, experience, structure, or freelancing life, I'm here for it. If it's about my gear, private stockists or you're trying to reverse-engineer my business model... hard pass.
Do you offer ongoing mentoring?
Nope. These are casual, focused consults, not long-term coaching.
Why are you charging for this?
This is a paid service - because time, energy and lived experience are valuable.
Payment, Reschedule, Cancellation or Refund
Creative Consults are prepaid at the time of booking. Your spot is confirmed once payment is processed.
Cancellations: You can cancel up to 24 hours before your session for a full refund or to reschedule.
Rescheduling: Need to shift the time? No problem - just reschedule through your confirmation email link at least 24 hours in advance.
No-shows or last-minute cancellations (less than 24 hours) are non-refundable.
If I need to cancel or reschedule for any reason (e.g. child is sick, life happens), I'll contact you to rebook or offer a refund.
Sessions are for individual use only and are not recorded or redistributed.
Do I need to prep anything?
Nope. But you'll get more out of it if you jot down your key questions beforehand.
